Unproductive

February 11, 2007

I had a great time last night at the latest performance of the local symphony, whose program included a stunning “Scheherezade” by Rimsky-Korsakov. I enjoyed going to church today, especially seeing my wife ordained as a deacon and listening to our progressive minister’s left-leaning sermon. Also loved the annual “Soup ‘n’ Pie” luncheon afterward. Had a great meal this evening at the local Mexican place, Rey Azteca (where I eat at least once a week). Was glad to help my father-in-law get his garage door and e-mail working properly again. And yet, I’m intensely disappointed because my productivity sucked. I did a total of two hours of writing-related work and barely met a single goal that I’d set for this weekend. So now I have to jump into the week with a crappy feeling of not getting anything done over the weekend, which is the way it’s been for the past few weekends in a row. Must…get…my…act…together!!! Usually, February is one of my most productive months of the year…but this year, it doth sucketh up a storm!!!
