Yes, it’s true. The new Sherlock Holmes movie is awesome. It’s a ton of fun from start to finish, a great action movie/buddy picture/comedy/steampunk film. Robert Downey, Jr. did a fantastic job creating a memorable new version of Holmes, and Jude Law did the same for Watson. According to my wife, the Holmes expert, the movie didn’t even shred the Holmes canon all that badly. In fact, as I consider her the final arbiter on all things Holmes, I pronounce this new film a resounding smash success. Every time I looked over at Wendy, the whole way through the movie, she had a smile on her face! Believe me, that’s no mean feat! So I’m sure we’ll have at least one more Holmes film to look forward to…Downey, Jr. has a second film series to star in…and Guy Ritchie has proven he can make a helluva Victorian action picture. See it! You won’t be sorry. See you soon!
