It was so cold last night, the pipes under the kitchen sink froze! The solution: heating them with a hair dryer until they thawed. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize the pipes in the garage, which we’d had trouble with before, were not to blame, until I’d already spent two hours heating them. Well, at least I got the water running eventually. Now, I just have to remember to leave it on all the time…until the temperature gets above 10 degrees, anyway. Oh, the joys of winter! At least the garage door’s working again; the cold has been making the rollers stick on the track…a problem finally fixed with some white lithium grease. Nothing like dumping my writing energy into surprise problem-solving at the hands of Mr. Cold Miser.
