I heard the Spring peepers for the first time tonight…always a good sign! I’m never sure exactly where their pond is, I’ve never actually seen it, but I know it’s nearby and full of infant frogs. After the insane winter we had this year, can there be a sweeter sound than those tiny voices chirping in the night? They’re quiet now, it’s almost midnight, but they’ll be back. Funny how the bits and pieces of nature can still captivate us. We live our lives in artificial environments…offices, cars, apartments, shopping malls. Sometimes, we forget there’s any nature left at all. And then a sweet sound like the peepers’ nighttime chorus reminds us there’s still beauty, there’s still hope, there’s still Spring. See you soon.
