This evening, I celebrated my friend Crippen’s birthday by enjoying a few beers at my favorite local watering hole, Tulune’s. I love going there because of the wide variety of imports they carry, both in bottles and on tap. We were joined by my buddy Jeff and niece Stacey, and we had a great time. I don’t drink that often, so this was a real treat. Plus which, they serve a mean burger and fries (and wings and stromboli and other treats). No writing tonight as a result, but what the hey. Sometimes, it’s a good idea to clear your system and your mind in order to lay the groundwork for awesome creative spurts to come. I’m hoping to get some strong writing in tomorrow and through this weekend, though I’m not really sure I’ll have much time. We have a lot of cleanup to do around the house following the work our contractor did this week. Plus, Saturday, I’m meeting my brother, Scott, at the movies to see The Men Who Stare At Goats. Pretty sure that one’s going to be high-larious, but we’ll see. I’ll let you know. See you soon!
